Artist Submissions for Full Gallery Shows

During purchase, you will be asked to follow a link to a Google form where you may upload your artwork and information. We ask for 10-20 images of your work to be considered for a 1-Person “Full Show,” an artist statement or biography and a CV.

For a “Full Show” Exhibition, the $55 is for 1 hour of the director’s time to review your work, social media, and web presence; to be able to give your work the focused consideration it deserves. This is not a fee for showing at the gallery and does not guarantee placement.

MIX Art Gallery is booking 6 months to 1 year out.

All work is sold on a 50/50 basis.

The artist is responsible for all transportation of work; as well as, installation of their work after the curator places it in the showroom. If you cannot install your work, there will be a fee to do so.

What does MIX provide for me if I show my work in the gallery?

When showing at MIX Art Gallery, we provide a clean, professional space, all utilities paid, staffing, 24-hour monitored security systems, and insurance coverage for all your artwork.

We will design one (or more) flyers to be shown online and on social media advertisements, and a professional reel to share. We will create an online web store with your unique address, and the ability to purchase online. We will arrange shipping for long-distance sales.

We get mentions in several local Art magazines for you, both online and physical, placement in First Friday’s “Gallery Night” publication, along with the general advertisements for MIX Art Gallery in the Ithaca Visitors Guide, Chamber of Commerce Ithaca calendar and other publications. We create and send a press release to 30+ publications within a 50 mile radius of Ithaca.

We will also provide an “opening night” event with refreshments and simple foods. If artist is able to do an artist talk, demonstration or closing event, we will also provide advertisement, staff and supplies for these events.

We also provide opportunities throughout the year for our committed artists which may include placement in local businesses.
